Standard solutions for conductivity measurement are potassium chloride (KCl) solutions, whose conductivity at a specific temperature is precisely known. Conductivity standards are used to calibrate measuring instruments and measuring cells.
Standard solutions in the unique double-end ampoules offer a particularly high degree of reliability and measurement accuracy. The accuracy of a measurement depends entirely on the accuracy of the calibration. This, in turn, depends to a very large extent on the reliability of the buffers. Hermetically sealed into the glass ampoule like a pharmaceutical preparation and hot steam sterilized, the standard solutions contain no preservatives, have an extremely long shelf life, and guarantee consistently authentic properties. The ampoules can be easily opened at the predetermined breaking point without tools. Since refilling is not possible, they always guarantee maximum calibration reliability.
