The AVS® 370 (TC) is a computer-controlled device for measuring the viscosity of liquids using capillary viscometers with thermoelectric meniscus detection (TC viscometers). The basic device is included, but a TC viscometer is not.
It is equipped with a ViscoPump III (VZ 8562) for detecting the liquid meniscus with thermoelectric sensors. Suitable TC viscometers from SI Analytics® are required for connection. TC viscometers are primarily used for opaque samples.For transparent samples, the AVS® 370 (OPT), item no. 1056509 is available as an alternative. This device detects liquids using infrared (IR) light barriers.
The AVS® 370 comes with a ViscoPump III for use with a TC viscometer. It can be expanded with a maximum of eight ViscoPumps for parallel operation at the corresponding number of measuring stations.
Depending on the application, the AVS® 370 can pump the sample into the viscometer's measuring bulb by "suction" or "pressure." The connecting hoses (hose set) are selected accordingly.
