On July 21, 2020, the cornerstone for the Xylem Analytics’ new flagship facility in Weilheim, Germany, was laid in a ceremony with Xylem’s local and corporate leadership, the Mayor of Weilheim and the wider district administration. Despite a challenging economic period due to Coronavirus, Xylem is driving full speed ahead with its growth agenda. Xylem has its eye on the future, and this grand project reinforces their commitment to their customers, community, and employees.
During the ceremony, Ulrich Schwab, Managing Director and Site Leader, delivered the message that Xylem’s growth strategy highlights their success as a vibrant brand, and it also underlines innovation as a focus for the company, its products, and future solutions for their customers. Xylem’s success was further emphasized by the Weilheim Mayor, who called Xylem a true “model company” and one of the city's largest and most attractive employers.
In support of Xylem’s ambitious sustainability goals and furthering their mission of tackling the world’s water challenges, the new 27,000 square meter facility is equipped with modern, efficient technologies. A photovoltaic system will provide power to the site and rainwater recycling system will showcase Xylem’s goal of improving the way water is used, conserved and re-used. Expected to be complete in July 2021, it will house Xylem Analytics Germany’s Corporate Functions, Sales & Marketing, Research & Development, Production, and Logistics, and will be the anchor tenant in the Weilheim Achalaich Business Park.
